While the results were not what we hoped for, the journey continues. It’s hard to put everything in my heart onto paper today, so I’ll lead with this: thank you. Thank you for believing in me—and thank you for stepping up and being a part of something bigger than just an election. We got into this knowing the odds were against us, but we gave it our all—and for that, I have no regrets.

In times like this it can be difficult to find gratitude. However, gratitude is where I find faith, healing, and strength. Over the past year, we knocked on nearly 40,000 doors, met thousands of our neighbors, and created a conversation on the issues we care so passionately about. We put recovery on full display—and we didn’t back down, despite the hurdles in front of us. The passion and resilience of our community fills me with so much hope. Winning isn’t everything, it never has been. But standing up for what you believe in is everything. And that work continues.

To our volunteers, my campaign team, and every supporter near and afar who believed with us—keep the faith. We are on the right side of history.
To my husband Sean—you are my rock. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you, and I love you with all my heart.

I have the greatest friends, the most incredible community, and a loving family that welcomes me home, no matter what. And I’m looking forward to returning full force to Mobilize Recovery in the coming weeks and getting back to work soon.
